Laboratories

College of Nursing has 6 laboratories with low to medium fidelity simulators and a variety of patient care devices, models, manikins and audio visual aids for nursing students to practice patient care skills.

1. Nutrition Lab

Nutrition lab facilitates learning by providing models, equipment and supplies necessary to develop skills regarding nutritious diet for a patient. Charts on health education regarding dietary needs of various health conditions, recommended daily dietary allowance for various age groups are displayed in the lab. Nutrition practicals are conducted every year for 1^st year B.Sc. Nursing students, as per the specification given in university syllabus.

2. Community Health Nursing Lab

It is a miniature of community setting that allows nursing students to practice their community health skills. This laboratory is equipped with community bags for learning bag techniques, and various audiovisual aids related to community health concern.

3. Maternal and Child Health Lab

Maternal and Child Health lab focuses on training of all the essential skills required to work and perform as able midwives. This lab is equipped with high fidelity manikins with other necessary equipments within their reach to later function as a pediatric nurse or a midwife.

We have well equipped lab with sufficient beds, manikins, charts and models to practice various basic nursing procedures. They are designed to help the students understand and develop skill in technique of nursing procedures and practice them in clinical setting.

6. Computer Lab

Computer lab is well-equipped computer Lab with 7 systems and Broadband Internet connections. Students are allowed to utilize this facility for their learning.
