The philosophy of Jubilee Mission College of Nursing (JMCON), under the Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, is rooted in the motto “Transforming Lives with Love.” The College believes that health is a state of well-being that enables an individual to lead a physically, psychologically, socially, and economically productive life. Health is the right of every person, and individuals, families, and communities share the responsibility for maintaining it.
Nursing plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery system by contributing significantly to the achievement of national health goals. The profession is committed to the implementation of National Health Policies and programmes, focusing on identifying health needs and delivering quality care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and community groups.
The scope of nursing practice encompasses promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care across the life span in diverse healthcare settings. Nursing practice is grounded in principles derived from physical, biological, behavioural, and medical sciences. It is built upon the core values of caring, compassion, respect, and dignity, aiming to help individuals attain independence in self-care while safeguarding their rights.
