Student Nurses Association (SNA)

The Student Nurses’ Association, popularly known as SNA, is a nation-wide organization of nursing students. It was established in 1929 under the student wing of TNAI headquarter situated at New Delhi. SNA of Jubilee Mission College of Nursing, works to provide opportunity for personal, intellectual, professional and social growth of its members. The active SNA member is an individual aware of the issues, responsibilities and needs of Nursing profession and the public it serves.

Membership is opened to all student’s nurses of basic program. Our unit offered the diversity of activities derived from social, cultural, professional spheres to strengten curricular and co-curricular components

Aims

The aim of the SNA is to provide programs representative of fundamental and current professional interest concerns to nursing students. Membership in SNA aids in the development of the whole person, including the professional role.

Objectives

To help the students to uphold the dignity of the profession.
To promote team spirit among students for common goal.
To help the students to develop professional ethics.
To encourage students to gain positive attitude towards the nursing profession
To encourage the students to develop leadership quality and effective communication skills for overall development.
To involve the students in intercollegiate sports and cultural activities
To Promote collaborative relationships with other nursing and health organizations.
To bring out talents and confidence of the students for the upliftment of self and society
To encourage leadership ability
To improve the students social contact to enhance professional growth
